Founding Investors: Individuals or organizations providing seed investment to kickstart the project. As a Founding Investor, you play a crucial role in Phase 1 developments and we ensure you're recognised for it. This category could suit angel investors or impact investors looking for equity or revenue share in the project's operating company.
Property Sponsors: Ideal for those who want to tangibly see their investment make a difference. A Property Sponsor might fund the renovation of a specific house (or houses). In return, you could receive naming rights e.g., "Renovated with support from XYZ", a share of future rental income, or first option to use the home for a certain number of weeks per year. This option blends philanthropy with a bit of personal benefit.
Corporate Partners: We welcome companies that align with our vision to partner with us. For example, a tech company might sponsor the co-working center's equipment, an automaker like Tesla might provide electric vehicles for the hub, or an ISP like Starlink could enhance connectivity – showcasing their products in a real-world rural innovation lab. Use of Funds
Early investments primarily go into property acquisition and renovation, infrastructure setup (internet, utilities, co-working space), and community programs development. For example, renovating one home in Fraine costs approximately €15,000 on average which covers structural repairs, modern amenities, and sustainable upgrades. We aim to stretch every euro by collaborating with local partners and securing grants where possible, amplifying the impact of private investments.
Projected Impact
By year 2 of the project, we project having 7 renovated homes housing ~ 6 new residents, effectively increasing Fraine's population by 3% and creating 2-3 local jobs from construction to ongoing services. An investment in Fraine Hub directly contributes to these outcomes, and as we grow, the economic and social impact is expected to multiply
