Phase 1: Foundation

Timeline  2026 (Year 1) - Key Objectives & Milestones:

  • Setup & Pilot: Secure initial funding (seed/crowdfunding) and form the core team.

  • Property Acquisition: Purchase or lease the first 5 vacant homes in Fraine.

  • Begins: Restore 2–3 houses as proof of concept, implementing sustainability features (solar panels, insulation, etc.).

  • Infrastructure: Install village-wide high-speed internet (pilot Starlink if needed) and set up a temporary co-working space.

  • Community Engagement: Host town hall meetings and workshops with Fraine residents; create integration programs such as a welcome committee pairing locals with newcomers.

    • Phase 2: Growth

    Timeline  2027–2028 (Years 2–3) - Key Objectives & Milestones:

  • Renovation Expansion: Restore 10–15 more homes (total: ~15–20 active). Launch a "Sponsor a Home" program.

  • Amenities Development: Open a full co-working & community center. Launch the Fraine Hub Café & Welcome Center.

  • Green Mobility Launch: Start electric car-sharing with 1–2 EVs. Seek Tesla (or similar) partnership for chargers and vehicles.

  • Cultural Programming: Launch monthly Abruzzo food nights, Italian classes, and the annual Fraine Hub Festival.

  • Evaluation & Marketing: Document impact, share success stories, and ramp up international promotion to attract new residents.

    • Phase 3: Maturity

    Timeline  2029–2031 (Years 4–5) - Key Objectives & Milestones:

  • Community Build-out: Reach ~30+ renovated homes with new residents. Explore building new eco-homes on village outskirts (if demand and approvals align).

  • Sustainable Local Economy: Encourage micro-businesses (tourism, remote services). Launch a coworking incubator to support entrepreneurship.

  • Renewable Energy Grid: Invest in a local solar or wind system to push toward energy self-sufficiency in partnership with green energy providers.

  • Replication & Outreach: Create a replicable Fraine Hub model. Build a Fraine Hub Network connecting other villages across Italy and beyond.
